Our Kickabout is a small family website. We collect as little personal information as reasonably possible and do not ask children to submit information.

1. Who is responsible?
Our Kickabout is operated by Scott in the United Kingdom. For UK data-protection purposes, Our Kickabout is the controller of personal information collected directly through this website.

2. What information may be handled?

3. Children’s information
The content is written for parents and carers, even when a child may play the game with them. We do not invite children to create accounts, send messages, upload photographs or provide identifying information. The 7-Day Play Challenge is intended for parents and carers, and the signup form asks you to confirm you are at least 16 years old. Please do not sign a child up to it.
If we learn that personal information was sent directly by a child without appropriate involvement from a parent or carer, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
4. Hosting and service providers
The website is hosted using Solo Build It!/SiteSell infrastructure. Hosting and security providers may process technical data on our behalf to deliver, protect and maintain the site. Some current pages also request the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which can result in technical request data such as an IP address and browser information being sent to Google when the page loads.
We intend to minimise third-party requests and will update this notice when services change. We do not sell personal information.
5. Cookies and analytics
The current launch version does not intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioural analytics. Necessary hosting, security or consent-preference technologies may still be used. If analytics, advertising, embedded media or other non-essential technologies are introduced, they will be documented and, where required, kept off until the visitor makes an appropriate choice.

6. Sharing and international processing
We may share information with providers that help host, secure or operate the site; professional advisers where reasonably necessary; or public authorities where the law requires it. We do not share contact details with advertisers or data brokers.
Some providers may process technical data outside the UK. Where the UK GDPR requires transfer safeguards, we will rely on an applicable adequacy regulation or suitable contractual and organisational safeguards supplied by the provider.
7. How long information is kept
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose described, to resolve disputes, maintain security records or meet legal obligations. Routine enquiries will normally be reviewed for deletion after 24 months. Hosting and security logs are retained according to the host’s operational schedules unless they are needed to investigate a problem. If you join the 7-Day Play Challenge, your name and email address are kept until you unsubscribe, or after two years of no engagement, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe we keep a minimal suppression record so that we do not email you again by mistake.

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, UK data-protection law may give you the following rights:
Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. We may need to verify identity before acting on a rights request.
9. Complaints

10. Changes to this policy
We will review this policy when the site introduces a form, newsletter, analytics, advertising, sales, user accounts or another material data practice. The updated date at the top shows when this version last changed.
